Basic Function

This position provides direct administrative support to the Associate Dean of Students (Counseling, CARE Team and SDV). May provide student support in the Student Services/Advising Center, Dean of Students Office or other Student Services Department upon request.

Duties and Responsibilities

This position provides direct and confidential administrative support to the Associate Dean of Students (inclusive of reporting departments). Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: advising scheduling, addressing complaint & grievance, general correspondence, greeting & directing visitors/callers, scheduling appointments, assisting with SDV course management, budget management, data entry, writing/maintaining meeting minutes and making appropriate referrals. Occasional weekend and evening hours.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or a combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

Associates Degree in Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Business or STEM field. Administrative support experience. Intermediate MS Office Skills. Bilingual (or multilingual)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-computer skills (intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook)
-financial and budget management
-oral and written communication
-cultural literacy
