The primary purpose of this position is to to recruit, hire, train and supervise the Peer Academic Coaches (PAC); Conduct regular observation and provide feedback to PACs. Collaborating with the Coordinator of Academic Success Programs, and under the direction of the Associate Director of Assessment and Academic Intervention and in working with the Training and Certifications Specialist, develop and deliver ongoing training sessions for PAC program, ensuring concordance with strategies and policies used in the staff-facilitated Academic Coaching sessions. Coordinate daily operations of the PAC Center and program administration, including appointments, records, and communication. Monitor documentation of sessions in EAB Navigate. Become proficient in EAB Navigate, ensuring student employees’ accuracy; provide training on Navigate to student workers and staff. Collaborate with the First Year Programs staff to coordinate academic support for the Ignite Program. Collect and maintain all program data; assist in program assessment. Support the Center for Academic Success participation in campus programs, including orientations, admissions recruitment events, classroom visits and workshops. Manage an assigned case load of academic coaching students. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required. Excellent communication skills, written as well as verbal and nonverbal. Ability to work well in team environment and collaborate well with colleagues. At least 1 year of experience working in higher education is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree preferred with at least three years of experience in higher education; Some previous at-risk intervention, academic advising or classroom experience; Personally disciplined and sufficiently well organized to create, maintain and enhance academic support programs.

Salary $35,796 minimum - $46,740 midpoint Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to lift 50 pounds. Normal working conditions. Occasional evening hours.
