The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry seeks a full-time, Fixed-Term or Tenure-Track positions at the rank of either Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Prosthodontics, Department of Restorative Sciences. The faculty member will provide didactic and clinical instruction as well as evaluation of pre-doctoral dental students in removable and fixed prosthodontics, implants, and esthetic dentistry, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and restorative dentistry. This position offers outstanding opportunities for intramural practice, scholarly activities, continuing education, professional service and research. Successful applicants should have the ability to establish a robust intramural practice with The UNC School of Dentistry’s Dental Faculty Practice.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must have a DDS or DMD degree and a certificate from a CODA-accredited post-graduate prosthodontic program. Completion of a formal fellowship program in maxillofacial prosthetics from an accredited program is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

Excellent clinical credentials, teaching, research and dental implant experience are required. This person should have experience in organizational and interpersonal skills, leadership, and a commitment to diversity, inclusivity and collegiality. Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics or Board Eligibility are preferred.
A proven record of research to complement the department research objectives is preferred.
