POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Announcement is hereby made for a full-time (12-month) position beginning immediately on the Ammerman Campus in Selden.

The Assistant Dean of Student Affairs reports to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and assists the Associate Dean in the overall coordination and supervision of Student Affairs at the Ammerman Campus and fulfills the following duties and responsibilities:

Job Description

• Provides administrative leadership and overall supervision for the campus enrollment services unit including Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registration.
• Directly supervises and evaluates the Campus Director of Admissions, the Campus Director of Financial Aid, and the Registrar Administrator.
• In conjunction with the Director of Admissions, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, and Executive Dean is responsible for the Campus’ general recruitment strategy.
• Provides leadership for the development of retention strategies and initiatives.
• Assists the Associate Dean of Student Affairs with the administration of the Student Code of Conduct and Student Judicial Process.
• Assists the Associate Dean of Student Affairs in the general administration of the Campus Student Affairs division.
• Assists with the investigation of student complaints regarding customer service, communication problems or the inability to access student services in a timely manner.
• Coordinate outreach initiatives to new and continuing students to insure timely registration and payment.
• Works closely with the College Dean of Enrollment Management and College Associate Dean for Student Engagement Assessment on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure all communication plans are coordinated for the various enrollment and onboarding service operations college-wide.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Student Affairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, higher education administration, or a related field. A minimum of four years of administrative experience in enrollment services within a college or university setting is required. At least three years’ experience in providing supervision, consultation to counselors and faculty, and staff evaluation.

Preferred

An earned doctorate in a related field is preferred. Expertise in enrollment services, advisement, recruitment and retention of college students within the higher education environment is preferred. Community College experience is preferred. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system experience is preferred.

HIRING SALARY:

This is a 12-month Guild (Unit 4) position, and, as such, the salary and benefits for this position are determined according to the salary and benefits plan for the Guild of Administrative Officers.
