This person will assist with the logistics of the first national conference in community geography, tentatively scheduled for February 21-23. This will include helping publicize the conference, organizing applications to attend, and assisting with travel details and conference activities.
The applicant should have exceptional organizational and communication skills and be able to work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Excel or similar software and previous administrative experience are strongly preferred.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Two UGA undergraduate students are needed to develop virtual reality and augmented reality solutions for applications in the Earth Sciences. Applicant should be familiar with Python, C#, C++ or other related computer language and should be comfortable using Microsoft Windows, MacOS or Linux. Knowledge of GIS, ArcGIS, GRASS GIS, Blender, Unity, XCode, ARKit and/or development for iOS and the Microsoft HoloLens are a plus. Work will be based at the Center for Geospatial Research at the Department of Geography, UGA and will involve software/hardware setup, software development and documentation of the development effort, including the creation of text and illustrations, to support future developments and reports.
