This Post-Doctoral Fellow will work as part of a new research team focusing on membrane science and technology and the development for the food and beverage industry. The position will develop HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) protocols for detecting compounds from fruit juice concentrates. This position will run ultrafiltration experiments to concentrate the fruit juice streams and membranes with unique surface properties e.g. responsive, catalytic will be developed. This position will also provide oversight on laboratory safety and help mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry or Food Sciences from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years of experience in analytical chemistry/food sciences as well as experience with ultrafiltration-based separation processes

  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry method especially as related to determination of protein concentration
  • Knowledge of HPLC methods and analysis
