Normal Work Schedule: Regular Part-Time (Benefits eligible.)

Job Summary: The EMT/Security Guard is responsible for assuring a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors and staff of Capstone Village. The EMT/Security Guard will respond to all emergency calls initiated by residents or staff and alert local authorities as needed.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Current certification/licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (Basic, Advanced or Paramedic) and one (1) year of experience as an EMT.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier. Final candidates who are not current University of Alabama employees must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Skills and Knowledge: Current certification/licensure by the State of Alabama as an Emergency Medical Technician (Advanced or Paramedic).
