COMMITTMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ORIENTATION LEADERS

•Prior to being hired, GOL applicants must successfully complete the GSC Student Employment Bootcamp. (Applicants will be contacted individually with more details on this program.)
•Attend and participate in scheduled training sessions: May16-17. (Housing will be provided, if necessary.)
•Be actively involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of New Student Orientation sessions.
•Must be able to work 6 of the 8 currently scheduled NSO events May 22/23; June 13/14, 20/21, & 27/28; July 11/12, 18/19; August 1/2, 8/9. (Housing will be provided, if necessary.)
•Be a point of contact between prospective students and GSC leading up to and during orientation sessions.
•Welcome new students and families to the college, assist with the orientation check- in process, and facilitate guided tours at all orientation sessions.
•Assist various GSC departments and offices as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

ALL APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

•Be a full-time degree seeking undergraduate student and completed 12 credit hours at Gordon State College
•Be in good academic and judicial standing with GSC; minimum 2.5 GPA at the completion of the Spring 2019 semester
•Must have two Gordon orientation leader recommendation forms completed by either faculty and/or staff members and submitted to Human Resources by the application deadline.
