Description:The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program provides part-time employment (no more than 19 hours per week) to students attending institutions of higher education who need the earnings to help meet their costs of postsecondary education. Federal Work-Study Student position(s) job descriptions are located in the Office of Financial Aid; currently in the "D" Building. Depending on the department assigned the duties will vary.
The Office of Human Resources is in need of a Federal Work-Study student to assist responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Administrative duties such as filing, copying/scanning, creating labels and phone support.
  • Greeting Faculty, Staff and Students in the reception area.
  • Assisting with HR projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Salary:$8.25 per hour. Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:Minimum:
  • Must be eligible to receive Federal Work-Study funds.
  • Must have and maintain good academic standing.
  • Must must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information.
  • Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to interact professionally with Faculty, Staff, Students and the general public.

Physical Requirements

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Applicant must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
