Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Provost of Undergraduate Academic Support, the Director of Advising Assessment provides academic advising for undergraduate students served by UCLA College Academic Counseling (CAC). The Director will also develop and implement assessment strategies for programs and services as related to academic advising and student success, and participate in strategic planning for CAC. Major responsibilities of the position include: (1) providing academic advising to undergraduate students in the College regarding academic requirements and options, (2) participating in the development, assessment, and evaluation of all programs under the jurisdiction of College Academic Counseling and relevant areas of advising as directed by the AVP, (3) participating in outreach activities of the unit as assigned, including in-person, phone and on-line advising activities, (4) coordinating and assessing media campaigns for CAC and advising, and (5) teaching selected courses under the University Studies subject area. A Ph.D. or Ed.D. is essential, as well as, knowledge of issues in higher education and experience in academic advising.

College Academic Counseling (CAC) is part of the Division of Undergraduate Education within the UCLA College and provides academic advising and related programs and services to approximately 17,000 undergraduates.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position salary range is $60,304 to $75,927/year.
