Life West is also committed to the contribution of academic and clinical research to the body of knowledge available to and for the chiropractic profession.

At Life West, our program prepares the chiropractor to function as a specialized health care provider, offering care on a direct-access, initial contact basis. This care focuses on the relationship between the structure of the human body, especially the spine, and the function of the human body as coordinated by the nervous system. A chiropractor places specific attention on the relationship between the skeletal structures of the body and the nervous system and how this relationship may affect the restoration and preservation of health.

A Focus on Clinical Excellence

Our Doctor of Chiropractic program prepares Life West graduates to provide for the health care needs of patients through excellent assessments, diagnostic competencies and superior patient management skills. Life West graduates are taught how to provide patient care on an independent basis, to co-manage patient care in cooperation with other members of a patient’s health care team, to consult with other providers as required by a patient’s needs and to refer patients to other providers consistent with the best interests of the patient. Life Chiropractic College West prepares graduates to become teachers of healthy living strategies, health risk avoidance approaches and wellness promotion concepts.
