Preferred Qualifications Position SummaryCreates a technology vision and provides the overall leadership for development, implementation and on-going maintenance of integrated enterprise-wide information system solutions, including coordination and facilitation of an integrated, commercial packaged finance and HCM system (PeopleSoft and related products) at a very large research institution. Oversees services provided to internal and external customers across the enterprise.

Duties/Responsibilities Duties/ResponsibilitiesLeads and directs the work of the EITS organization responsible for providing the ongoing support for the UGA commercial finance and HCM systems (PeopleSoft and related products) (25%).
Percentage of time 25 Duties/Responsibilities Duties/ResponsibilitiesOversees all vendor management activities ensuring that vendor adheres to UGA policies and best practices around change management and system integrity (15%).
Percentage of time 15 Duties/Responsibilities Duties/ResponsibilitiesApproves the business technology and human resources plan for assigned areas. Meets regularly with team to gather work status. Discusses work progress and obstacles. Provides advice, guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback (15%).
Percentage of time 15 Duties/Responsibilities Duties/ResponsibilitiesParticipates in internal and external (USG) IT governance and leadership groups that defines the IT mission, oversees operations, and determines IT investments, pricing, and product strategies related to student information systems. Acts as champion for acceptance of the finance and HCM systems technology plan within the University (10%).

Coaches team about corporate decision-making processes, prioritization, and IT/business-unit alignment (10%).
