Duties

The Neuropsychiatry Section of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania has an opening for a Research Participant Recruiter with a focus on recruitment for longitudinal research studies in psychosis risk and schizophrenia. The Research Participant Recruiter will be responsible for contacting, screening and enrolling potential study participants, attending community recruitment events, and meeting the recruitment goals set by project investigators and the Lead Recruiter.

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology/social work/education/counseling/nursing or related fields and one to three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Clinical experience working with adolescents and patients with psychotic disorders, and prior recruitment experience, are strongly preferred. Applicants must demonstrate an excellent level of organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong computer skills. The job requires traveling and flexible hours (including evenings and weekends).

Valid driver’s license required. Background check required. Must pass Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment.
