Job Description Summary

To provide assistance to the Assistant Director or Resident Life & Wellness, and the Life Enrichment Assistant by providing meaningful programs and activities to Hillcrest residents. The starting pay for this position is $13 per hour.

Training will be provided by the Life Enrichment Assistant. Most of the time, staff are available to answer questions. Position requires using tact in dealing with people inside and outside of Hillcrest and supporting and appreciating Hillcrest’s values.

Specific Duties
  • Assist with programmed activities in independent and assisted living care areas
  • Help prepare rooms/spaces for classes, presentations, entertainment, etc.
  • Engage with residents individually and in groups
  • Assist the assistant Director of Resident Life & Wellness and Life Enrichment Assistant as the lead games and activities at various locations on campus (Birch Court, Maple Court, Woods Health Services, Southwoods Lodge, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications Benefits Summary

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
