Department Office of Human ResourcesResponsibilities This position is responsible for developing, reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems to support the business applications of the Office of Human Resources (HR) as well as the design, functionality, accessibility, and overall usability of the Human Resources website.
Assists with HR Technology support when necessary. Develops and maintains system documentation and reports. The position is expected to leverage and work with existing IT systems and services managed by FSU Information Technology Services (ITS).
Collaborates with various HR and ITS team members on the development and implementation of the new HR information systems along with the continued improvement of business processes. Serves as a liaison to other offices on campus regarding HR application development needs.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and two years of related work experience; or a high school diploma or equivalency and six years of related work experience.
(Note: or a combination of post-high education and experience equal to six years.)
Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field including standard web technologies, database development and IT principles.
Skill in designing website functionality and architecture and troubleshooting technical problems.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to develop clear electronic communications for distribution.
Ability to convey technical information to technical and non- technical users.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to develop and implement applications to support operations and processes through detailed collaboration with Human Resources team members.Preferred Knowledge of programming with Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and MSSQL. Understanding of MVC architecture.
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for computer support and skills in troubleshooting technical problems arising in an HRIT environment.Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Schedule If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
