This position performs accounting functions using established processes, including but not limited to the reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts. Typical assignments consist of accounts such as student receivables, liabilities, revenues and deferred revenue. Create, review and enter journal entries, including but not limited to: revenue transfers, expenditure transfers, reclassifications, campus charges, daily banking, and Banner transactions. Such duties include verifying proper approval has been obtained from impacted departments. Scanning and indexing of all journal entries. Coordinate with daily accounts payable check printing process, preparation of related positive pay files and assist with uploading of electronic payment information to financial institutions. Respond to on-campus requests for information. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and ad hoc reporting analysis.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting or Finance. Candidates with other degrees may be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent education through professional certifications or by submitting their transcripts. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to multi-task and work as a team player.Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience using PeopleSoft and/or Banner.Salary $17.14 (minimum) - $22.38 (midpoint) Hourly Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to move about the office freely, communicate without restriction, lift heavy boxes.
