Visiting Assistant Professor in Scenography, Theatre Department

Job description

The Theater Department of Lafayette College invites applications for a one-year visiting full-time position in Scenography, with expertise in at least two of: costume, scenery, light, sound, and/or environmental design.

We are particularly interested in candidates who could, in addition to introductory and advanced courses in design, teach Introduction to Theater, Theater History and courses that fulfill the requirements of the Common Course of Study. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher who has a public record of creative work and who is committed to the mission of a liberal arts college. The appointment will begin July 1, 2019. The teaching load is three courses per semester with the possibility that leading students and colleagues in the design of a major production might count toward the teaching expectations.  An MFA or Ph.D. by start date and teaching experience required.
