Job Summary/Basic Function:
The University of North Texas, Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation seeks to hire an individual at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The appointment will begin Fall 2018. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, clinical position on a 9-month appointment (academic year) with optional summer teaching. This position will require teaching, service, and research or creative activity in Exercise Physiology. This position may also have a formal research assignment in exercise physiology (emphasis on muscle physiology, nutrition, and/or endocrinology preferred).

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Terminal degree (e.g., PhD, DPT, MD) in Kinesiology / Exercise Physiology or a related field (e.g., medicine, physical therapy, psychosocial aspects of sport and exercise, or sport pedagogy).
2. Evidence of outstanding organizational skills, as well as excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
3. Evidence of potential for successful undergraduate and/or graduate teaching in exercise physiology.
4. Evidence of potential for successful mentoring of undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience teaching online courses using Canvas or another LMS.
2. Experience in curriculum design, assessment, and outcome measurements.
3. Experience working with diverse populations.
4. Experience in collaborative research involving exercise physiology (e.g., muscle physiology, nutrition, and/or endocrinology) and other areas.
