FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs in Hunter College’s School of Education seeks candidates for a tenure track position in Rehabilitation Counseling effective late August 2019.

Duties include: 1) Teaching graduate courses in counselor education programs, 2) Engaging in research, scholarly writing and grant work, 3) Serving on program, department, school, college and university committees, where appropriate, 4) Student advisement and 5)participating in professional organizations such as; National Council on Rehabilitation Education (NCRE), American Rehabilitation Counseling Association (ARCA) and regional organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

All candidates must have an earned Ph.D. or Ed. D. in rehabilitation psychology, counselor education, or an earned doctorate in a related field. A master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and certification in Rehabilitation Counseling is preferred. Experience with diverse populations is required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

All candidates must have a commitment to work in multicultural and urban settings.

Salary commensurate with education and experience, within the approved range for this position Assistant Professor: $71,723-$90,149.
