Position Summary:
JPHCOPH, Office of the Dean. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Academic Services Coordinator works collaboratively in all areas of college advisement with particular focus and responsibility on graduate recruitment, advisement, and retention. The Academic Services Coordinator responds to inquiries from current and prospective graduate students, as well as coordinate with the College of Graduate Studies on completion of degree requirements.
Essential Functions

  • Works closely with Department Chairs and the College of Graduate Studies on completion of degree requirements.
  • Manages and coordinates an effective graduate student advisement system.
  • Plans and implements strategies designed to improve academic success and retention.
  • Coordinates with the Assessment Specialist in the College to ensure appropriate collection of data.
  • Provides general oversight for college recruitment activities, both graduate and undergraduate.
  • Organizes and implements Graduate Student Orientation and Prospect Student day in the college.
  • Serves as the point of contact for non-academic concerns.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Salary Range: $51,594 - $64,493
