Department Overview
The Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment, and Redesign (CLEAR) supports the University's goals of providing the best undergraduate educational experience in Texas and providing a superior graduate education by working closely with faculty to maximize their teaching effectiveness regardless of the mode of instructional delivery. We assist faculty in the design and delivery of courses as well as with the measurement of learning at the class, department, and college level. We serve as the liaison for various administrative and technical support functions, thereby saving faculty's time, talent, and creative energies for their students. We provide leadership in the development of policies and the exploration of innovative tools and techniques that promote teaching excellence.

Job Description
The CLEAR Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Dept/College Web Developer to join our team.

This position is responsible for programming custom course and in-house web applications and developing scripts to automate common LMS processes. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Develop and maintain web-based programs and interactions for online courses.
* Develop and maintain web-applications for departmental use.
* Develop scripts to automate LMS processes.
* Assist with program testing to ensure product integrity.
* Research and recommend current and emerging multimedia technology sources and assist with the design and development of new experimental interactive projects.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Associate's Degree in related field and three years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Ability to writing HTML documents, develop content, create graphics, digitize pictures, and insert audio and video.
* Knowledge of HTML, HTML editing tools, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Websphere, graphic design software or other web authoring languages.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree and 3+ year's experience with PHP/MYSQL/HTML/Python/JavaScript/CSS web application programming, image manipulation, interface design, course interaction brainstorming/design/creation, and system automation scripting.
