Job Summary:

The candidate will be assigned to the OSU College of Medicine - Cherokee Nation (OSUCOM-CN) Tahlequah, OK Campus.

This position may be tenure or non-tenure track.

Position will take part in teaching Clinical Gross Anatomy in the College of Osteopathic Medicine and must work well in a team.

The duties of an assistant/associate professor of anatomy includes teaching, research/scholarship, service/outreach, and administration. Research/scholarship is expected and may include, but not limited to, mentoring medical and graduate students, publishing peer – reviewed articles, being an active member in their professional society. While there will be no bench research/laboratory space available at the OSUCOM-CN campus, there may be modest start-up funding available through the Office of Research for individual or collaborative research at the OSU CHS Tulsa campus.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 50 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of a medical school educator.

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:
-Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Anatomy, Vertebrate Paleontology, or a related field
-Previous experience teaching in a medical school
-Postdoctoral research or industry experience will be regarded positively
-Proficiency in instructional technology and distant education technology required
