Job Summary:

The candidate will be assigned to the OSU College of Medicine - Cherokee Nation (OSUCOM-CN) Tahlequah, OK Campus.

This position may be tenure or non-tenure track.

The duties of an assistant/associate professor include teaching, research/scholarship, service/outreach, and administration. Research/scholarship is expected and may include, but not limited to, mentoring medical and graduate students, publishing peer – reviewed articles, being an active member in their professional society. While there will be no bench research/laboratory space available at the OSUCOM-CN campus there may be modest start-up funding available through the Office of Research for individual or collaborative research at the OSU CHS Tulsa campus.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 50 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of a medical school educator.

Position Qualifications:

Required:
-Pharm D. or Ph.D. in pharmacology or physiology
-Proficiency in instructional technology and distant education technology
-Demonstrated teaching experience and effectiveness in medical education
-Demonstrated accomplishments in scholarly activity
