The University of North Georgia invites applications for a ten-month, full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Biology.

The Department of Biology offers B.S. degrees in biology and biology education, and features an outstanding program of undergraduate research.

Located in the fastest-growing region of the state, the University of North Georgia is a multi-campus university with an enrollment of over 17,000 students, making it one of the largest institutions in the University System of Georgia. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses including majors introductory biology, non-majors biology, Poultry Courses, and courses in specialty which may include Biotechnology; scholarly work involving undergraduates; advising students; service to the department, university and community; and professional development.
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Ph.D., or terminal degree, at the time of hire in biology or related discipline.
  • Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
  • Expectations for this position are that 60% of the workload is dedicated to teaching and that 40% is divided between service and professional development.
