Job Summary Requisition Number: 29570 Job Title: PROGRAMMER/ANALYST II Working Title: Business Analyst Salary: $24.81 - $48.70 hourly Job Type: Career Department Name: 5120-UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION Department Website URL: www.admission.ucla.edu Job Summary Statement: The Business Analyst supports the CRM unit of Undergraduate Admission (UA) under the supervision of the Senior Assistant Director of Admission, CRM. The Analyst will play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of CRM applications and business processes to support the admission, recruitment, and enrollment management efforts of the university. They will help define and document business requirements, develop project plans, build system assets, conduct user testing, and troubleshoot production issues, with a focus on projects related to communications, event management, and other admission services. They will work closely with admission staff and colleagues throughout campus to develop and analyze functional and non-functional requirements. The Business Analyst will also contribute to quality assurance for user-generated collateral and CRM training initiatives across the department.

In addition to CRM focused responsibilities, the Business Analyst will participate directly in the admission process, including the review of applications. Demonstrated skills in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction. Required 2. Demonstrated experience in designing user interfaces and applications. Required 3. Ability to define testing procedures and to rigorously carry out such procedures. Required 4. Demonstrated skills in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload and completing deadlines. Required 5. Demonstrated skills in analyzing data, problems, situations, practices or procedures to define the problem or objective, identify relevant concerns or factors, and formulate logical and objective conclusions. Required 6. Demonstrated knowledge of web development languages HTML and CSS. Required 7. Experience with additional technical languages such as JavaScript, SQL, and XML. Preferred 8. Detailed knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems or databases. Required 9. Experience using Slate by Technolutions Preferred 10. Demonstrated knowledge of UCLA Admissions operations. Preferred 11. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and other staff members. Required 12. Demonstrated written and oral skills to write clear and grammatically correct documentation and reports to convey information and to present ideas in group and one-on-one settings. Required 13. Demonstrated ability to use computer editing software to schedule and update reports and to effectively run routine computer reports. Required 14. Demonstrated knowledge of Windows based applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (including mail-merge). Required 15. Knowledge of UCLA admission requirements. Preferred 16. Working knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems. Preferred 17. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
