Assistant Director: Ropes Program Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201901177461 Full Time Other $36,600 - $72,200 Position Information Reporting to the Associate Recreation Director- Programs, the incumbent is a critical member of the Recreation programming team responsible for the development, management, implementation, oversight and daily operations of the UCR Recreation Ropes Programs which includes the Team Excursions Challenge Course, the Mobile Rock Wall and The Rock" indoor rock climbing and bouldering facility. Important duties include risk management, staffing, program development and implementation, oversight of facilities maintenance, and supervision of staff. Incumbent will work closely with departmental, divisional, campus, and community partners to ensure the provision of client service based programming that meets the needs of and is inline with departmental, divisional, and campus goals. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Master's Degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Exercise Science or a related field from an accredited institution. Preferred
Certifications Certification Requirement Red Cross CPR. Required Standard First Aid Training Certification. Required Certification in the following: Single-Pitch Climbing Instructor and Climbing Wall Instructor-Course Provider Required Wilderness First Responder certificate Preferred The Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) or similar certification Preferred
