The Department of Psychology, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Fiscal Associate Travel to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. Serves as lead travel specialist for all faculty and research lab travel needs; provides fiscal, travel, procurement and administrative support for faculty and programs in the Psychology Department; serves as primary point of contact to faculty, staff and students on university, travel, expenditure, college and department policies and procedures; advises on appropriate travel methods; manages travel and meeting arrangements for department faculty, researchers, students and visitors; initiates and tracks eTravel requests, payment and expenditures in compliance with university policy and purchasing guidelines; serves as Level I approver in the eTravel system; resolves issues with travel transactions including interaction with suppliers and/or central officers when necessary; supports monthly general ledger reconciliation process by collecting source documents related to reported expenditures on all funding sources; provides procurement, fiscal, travel, and fund balance reports for faculty; maintains and updates all department fiscal policy and procedure documents; prepares fiscal, payroll, expenditure and budget reports; assists in completing monthly fiscal and payroll reconciliation; maintains beginning, mid-year and end of fiscal year tracking mechanisms; assists with faculty and graduate student recruitment, event planning and coordination, renovations and other special projects as needed; provides assistance for assigned departmental duties including assisting purchasing specialist in managing purchases for department faculty, researchers, students, visitors and initiating eRequests; tracks and logs procurement card (p-card) transactions in conjunction with p-card manager; enters journals to perform chartfield reallocations and/or corrections as well as fund transfers; provides assistance with the Psychology main office guests and visitors; provides back-up assistance to the other department, program, and administrative staff; works productively as a team member to support all academic, research areas, programs, and centers, as well as department business functions; supervises and provides mentorship to undergraduate student assistants; performs related and/or additional job duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of university policies and procedures, including procurement, travel and payroll; experience with purchasing and expenditure methods; proficiency with spreadsheet, database, and transaction processing; experience in interpreting data and creating reports; considerable work in fast-paced, high-demand procurement environment; ability to maintain confidentiality; effective communication skills; ability to multi-task and detailed organizational skills.
