JOB SUMMARY
This position performs maintenance and facilityset-up duties. It reports to the Maintenance Specialist. This is a part-time,20 hours per week position. Flexible schedule; hours will vary depending on theneeds.
ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS:
- Performsfacility set-ups and tear-downs for all events.
- Performspainting, carpentry, routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, and assemblyduties.
- Removessnow and ice on walkways as needed.
- Followsbuilding and safety codes required by law, including OSHA and MOSHA, as well asCarroll Community College’s Safety Procedures.
- Worksin conjunction with the Carroll County Government Bureau of Facilities as required.
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
- Highschool diploma. At least two years ofwork experience with similar duties.
- Ableto use hand and power tools in the carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing fields.
- ValidClass C driver’s license in good standing.
- Passcriminal background check
- Availableto work evenings and weekends.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Thework requires the ability to lift and move heavy items (e.g., supplies,equipment, and furniture) frequently over 50 pounds and some agility. Additionally, the following physical abilitiesare required:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Most of the work involves construction orrepair using power tools and related construction equipment following thosesafety regulations and wearing any required safety gear; some of the workenvironment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safetyprecautions typical of such places as office, meeting, and training rooms; useof safe work place practices with office equipment;observance of fire and building safety regulations; and observance of trafficsignals when driving.
SALARY:
Thispart-time Grade 4 position is $13.03 per hour.
