Job Details
Nature of Work:This full-time,University Staff (non-classified) position is responsible for high-level operationalsupport to the Foot and Ankle, and Podiatry Sections, including the SectionChief, faculty and staff within Orthopedics. The F&A/Podiatry ProgramCoordinator will be responsible for coordinating the programs and supportingtheir faculty across several UCHealth sites along the Front Range. Thisposition will communicate, document and support all Department efforts and indoing so will maintain relationships with various personnel throughout theSchool of Medicine and Affiliate Hospitals. This role must exercise criticaljudgement and considerable initiative in administrative management. Thisposition provides cross coverage for other administrative positions as needed.
Examples of WorkPerformed:
- Works with Section Administrator to implement identified needs forthe new program such as faculty recruitment, scheduling, additionalcertifications, and logistics.
- Manages projects and process improvement activities related to theprograms; reports on progress, and ensures deadlines are met.
- Assists with academic and clinical scheduling for faculty supportincluding the Qgenda system.
- Coordinates meeting space needs on and off campus; coordinatesevents, including selecting and scheduling the venue.
- Manages faculty calendars and meeting coordination by usingemail/MS Outlook and Doodle.
- Process procurement requests, travel arrangements (includinginternational), and reimbursements for providers.
- Manages provider licensing, certifications, memberships, andhospital credentialing.
- Recruitment and onboarding support for new providers.
- Manages scheduling and billing for medical legal requests.
- Acts as department subject matter expert in relation tocredentialing, medical legal requests, procurement, Qgenda and provideronboarding.
- Represents department externally to other groups as necessary.
- Oversee the application, submission, and maintenance of CUMedicine sites of practice for the department.
- Provide high level coordination and analysis on various sectionstrategic projects.
- Provide process improvement project management for administrativeprocesses within the department.
- Provide project management within the sections of Sports Medicine.
- Provide operational support to providers within the SportsMedicine section.

QualificationsMinimumQualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration,finance, accounting , education, social sciences, healthcare administration,public administration, communications, information systems, or a directlyrelated field from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of professional level experience working in anacademic setting alongside healthcare providers; which included (2) years ofexperience working in an administrative/support role for a senior levelposition (i.e. Director, Chair, etc.).
- Experience managing projects, adhering to project timelines, andreporting on progress.
- Experience coordinating travel and related purchasing andexpense reimbursements in the Concur system.
- Experience providing administrative and technical assistance to faculty and staff within a higher education and/or medical education environment.
- Experience in managing multiple schedules.
- Abilityto communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Abilityto establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at alllevels throughout the institution.
- Outstandingcustomer service skills.
- Demonstratedcommitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
