A full-time POSTDOCTORAL POSITION for a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD is available in the laboratory of Kristi Kuhn, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to study the interactions between bacteria at the intestinal surface, mucosal immunity, and systemic autoimmunity as it relates to rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthritis. The candidate will join and be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team with experts in mucosal immunology, microbiome analysis, and translational studies. 
Job Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position will include but not be restricted to the performance of techniques involving murine models of disease, gnotobiotics, microbiology, human tissue acquisition and processing as well as flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, ELISA-based activation systems, cell based activation systems, and the identification and analysis of antigen-specific B and T cells.

Required education/experience/skills(minimum qualifications):

PhD, MD, or MD/PhD
