Job Summary:

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hospital Medicine at the Universityof Colorado Denver seeks a Instructor - MD, who is board certified/board eligible pediatric hospitalistto complement the clinical and administrative activities of the section inColorado Springs. This clinical position will primarily have attendingresponsibilities at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs. With 24/7responsibility for admitted pediatric patients, candidates can expect toprovide coverage overnight, on weekends and over holidays.


Examples of Work Performed:

  • Careof pediatric patients admitted to general pediatric wards or observation units.
  • Careof well newborns and newborns admitted to NICU.
  • Routinenewborn circumcision, lumbar puncture, procedural sedation.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates may be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

  • Experience in Hospital Medicine.
  • Experience in newborn care.
  • Experience in NICU.
  • Experience in teaching residents and/or medicalstudents.
  • Experience in Quality Improvement work orPatient Safety work.
