Marketing Instructor



The University of Colorado Denver seeks one temporary full-time Instructor of Marketing in the Business School at the Downtown Denver Campus. Note: 1. Funding for this position is for one-year only. 2. This is a non-tenure-track position and there is no opportunity to convert it to a tenure-track appointment in the future.

The Marketing area offers an MS degree in Marketing, supports the MBA program and offers a Marketing emphasis (major) in the Bachelor of Science program. Job Responsibilities: 
The new hire will teach 7 courses (3 credit hours each) during a 9-month appointment and provide service to the department on a 70/30 ratio. 


QualificationsRequired Qualifications: 
Required qualifications for the position include 1) relevant professional experience, and 2) a Masters degree in Marketing (or MBA with substantial Marketing course work) from an AACSB accredited School or an equivalent Masters degree. The preferred qualification is a Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing (or related field) from an AACSB accredited university. Applicants need to demonstrate potential for high-quality intellectual contributions and teaching, and should include evidence of accomplishments in these areas in their applications. At a minimum, the successful candidate should be classified as a Scholarly Practitioner or Instructional Practitioner under AACSB guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Evidence of teaching excellence, and in particular the desire to teach a variety of classes in the following areas: Sports & Entertainment, Customer Relationship Management, Sales, Services Marketing, Marketing Management, and other courses as needed.
Salary and Benefits:
