The Department of Ophthalmology currently seeks a Post-Doctoral Fellow for the Laboratory of Advanced Ophthalmic Imaging, CellSight, in Denver, Colorado. The focus of the lab is on research for development of new and innovative in vivo ophthalmic imaging systems at CellSight. (See http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/departments/Ophthalmology/research/CellSight/Research-Groups/Advance-Ophthalmic-Imaging/Pages/default.aspx). 
The lab is currently seeking a Postdoc who is highly motivated andaccomplished in design and construction of interferometric and multiphoton microscopesand has (or anticipates having) a recent Ph.D. or Masters degree in ElectricalEngineering, Physics, Optical engineering, or a related field.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: 
  • Graduation from an accredited college oruniversity with a PhD/Masters in one of these fields Electrical Engineering,Optics, Physics, or related field
  • Two years of progressive experience in design andimplementation of optical coherence tomography and/or multiphoton microscopy
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience in design and implementation ofadaptive optics in ophthalmic research. 
  • Experience with ultrafast and nonlinear optics.
Competencies: 
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to work independently within a research lab
  • Demonstrated proficiency and excellence in Matlab or Python.
