Nature of Work:

TheUniversity of Colorado, College of Nursing, is seeking an experienced LicensedClinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time, (1.0 FTE) benefitted, positionwith the University of Colorado, College of Nursing primarily at our CampusHealth Center, in Aurora, CO. This position is clinic based as a mentalhealthcare provider, 40 hours a week. This position may also assist otherclinics in our Faculty Practice Plan when the need arises.

 

ClinicDescriptions:

The Campus HealthCenter, with bothphysical and behavioral health care delivered by varied health disciplinesthrough CU Health Partners, is designed to meet CU Anschutz student health andwellness needs. In addition, surrounding community members are welcome toaccess health services at this clinic. The practice consists of ~fiveemployees.

 

Belleview PointClinic is anintegrated Advanced Practice Nursing practice consisting of ~fiveemployees.  We strive to give qualitycare in a nurturing relaxed environment, as opposed to a typical 5-10 minuterushed, doctor’s office visit. We will provide a broad range of primary careservices to patients of all ages. Patients can receive physical and behavioralhealth care at this clinic.


SupervisionReceived:

Workis performed independently under the general direction of the Clinical Directorand authority of the Associate Dean for Clinical and Community Affairs as partof the College of Nursing (CON) faculty practices.

 

Examples of WorkPerformed:

  • Providecase management and care coordination with providers of service including butnot limited to primary care providers, school personnel, family members, andother mental health and community partners.
  • Evaluatecrisis situations and take appropriate action to ensure client safety and thesafety of all clinic users.
  • Developa treatment plan with each patient to include: health promotion, diseaseprevention, patient education, appropriate use of psychotropic medications,self-care, provision of appropriate follow-up and referral to other neededservices and therapies.
  • Providegeneral outpatient treatment via individual and group therapy, case management,crisis management, skill building, and psycho-education.
  • Participatein scheduled individual supervision, health team meetings, interdisciplinarywork groups, monthly staff meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Completeall required clinical and administrative documentation to accepted standards ofpractice, accurately, legibly, and by established timelines on electronichealth record (EHR) system and paper as needed.
  • Utilizebest practices and provide all treatment within appropriate limits. Completeand follow through with financial and clinical information necessary to ensurereimbursement for provided services.
  • Expectedto demonstrate high quality customer service focus, excellent communication andprofessionalism with clinic users, co-workers and representatives from outsideagencies and to enhance community relationships.
  • Activelyparticipates in marketing and patient recruitment
  • Activeparticipation in health plan contracts.
  • Remaincredentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials staycurrent.
  • Performsother duties as assigned.

Skill and AbilityRequirements:

  • Demonstratedability to work effectively with a diverse population of staff, faculty,community members, and clients.
  • Expertisein clinical assessment and therapeutic interventions with individuals, couples,families, and groups.     
  • Demonstratedknowledge and understanding of primary care-behavioral health integratedprograms, including fundamental elements of co-located and/or fully integratedservices.
  • Activelyparticipates in marketing and patient recruitment
  • Activeparticipation in health plan contracts.
  • Remaincredentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials staycurrent.
  • Abilityto effectively utilize computer and electronic medical record.

Qualifications

Education andExperience Requirements:

  • Master’s degreein social work, counseling or related field.
  • Current LCSW(Licensed Clinical Social Worker) licensure in good standing (Any State) (Musthave all CO licensure by date of hire. Could be working toward CO clinicallicense during application process and registered with DORA-Department ofRegulatory Agencies.) No grievances filed with DORA or any other statelicensing governance board, Medicaid, or Medicare.
  • Minimum One yearexperience as a licensed practicing therapist.
  • Experienceproviding substance abuse treatment services.

Preferences:
  • Experienceworking with population based outcomes.
  • PriorElectronic Health Record (EHR) experience.
  • Experience usingbrief treatment modalities with an emphasis on time effective, recoveryoriented, and evidence-based treatment.
  • Experiencewith prevention and early intervention approaches, utilizing trauma informedcare, and working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Experiencewith, working knowledge of, or commitment to care delivery that incorporates asocial justice perspective around the intersectionality of racism, classism,LGBTQ issues, and other forms of oppression.
