The University of Georgia (UGA), a land-grant and sea-grant university with statewide commitments and responsibilities is the state’s oldest, most comprehensive, and most diversified institution of higher education (http://www.uga.edu/). Candidates and nominees should have a distinguished record in scholarly research, a history of strong extramural funding, and outstanding accomplishments in instruction and advising. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate-level courses, advise and mentor doctoral students in their studies and research, and pursue an active program of research in his or her specialty area. Applicants and nominees should have an earned doctorate in higher education or related field or an appropriate terminal degree, coupled with a record of significant academic accomplishments, including an established line of funded research.
