Minimum qualifications may be defined by the department based on the responsibilities of the position.
Preferred Qualifications Position SummaryThe Temporary-Administrative position is expected to arrive in enough time to meet the children when they arrive for class in the morning. The assistant will assist the Lead Instructor in presenting the various class activities to the students. The Instructor’s assistant should have some expertise in the subject area and a passion for working with children. This person reports to the Lead Instructor and has duties as deemed appropriate by the Lead Instructor to help him or her execute an effective class. The Instructor’s Assistant will also assist with afternoon recreational activities based on scheduling.
Additional Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or CertificationHigh School Diploma; Bachelors degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesBackground in working with children; CPR training.
Physical DemandsAble to manage children between the ages of 8-14.
