Preferred Qualifications Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining the grounds keeping unit of the Athletic Association.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be willing to work overtime during football, soccer and softball seasons.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with random issues.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

The physical demands and environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job; the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; lift approximately 30 lbs, stoop, squat, operate lawn mower, edger, blower, etc.

Must have ability to work in hot and cold climates.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.

Daily maintenance of designated playing surfaces including mowing and irrigating.
