Position Summary

This is a full-time staff position that provides support for the Industrial-Organizational program within the Psychology department. This position provides support for program heads, faculty, and graduate students associated with the program.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

- Business classes desirable or previous experience in business office.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to learn new computer programs.
- Problem-solving skills and decision-making skills a must.
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to work independently and without close supervision.

Physical Demands

- Sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time

- Work in a standard office environment

Administrative Duties:

- Administrative support for program to include tasks such as typing, formatting, poster printing, photocopying exams, and other related duties.

- Assists program heads with reports, confidential student records, calendar of meetings, events and seminars, and other duties as assigned.

- Assist program faculty with instructional and administrative tasks.

- Maintain database of records for prospective and current graduate students in the program.

- Assist program faculty and graduate students associated with submitting travel authorities and expense reports.

- Process payment requests for expenses associated with program to include participant payments, honorariums, and others.
