Wells College seeks a versatile mathematics professor capable of teaching both upper-level courses and ones at the introductory level, including calculus and statistics, as well as occasional computer science and/or non-lab based physics courses, beginning August 2019. Our program in Mathematical and Physical Sciences offers BA degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. In addition to teaching duties within the majors, we offer service courses for the social sciences and for the college’s general education curriculum. The successful candidate will also oversee student projects, serve as an academic advisor, be an active member of the college community, and continue to engage in scholarship.

We expect the successful candidate to hold a PhD for initial appointment at the assistant professor level. We also expect the successful candidate to have teaching experience as an instructor of record in undergraduate courses.
