Provide visionary, collaborative leadership for the design and implementation of faculty development as it supports the university's Strategic Imperatives. Lead and coordinate development for all CMU instructors focused on instructional practices that maximize student learning. Lead activities in the area of learning design and pedagogy to assist the academic division in creating an institutional culture of teaching and learning across all instructional settings. Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with university constituents to ensure high quality learning environments across the curriculum. Manage and report on data relevant to enhancing teaching and learning and related support strategies.Master's degree from an accredited higher education institution in an Education related discipline (e.g. Higher Education, Education Leadership, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or related field);
Three years of experience in creating and leading collegiate-level instructional development programs;
Experience designing, developing, and delivering instructional development and related programming in multiple formats for multiple faculty audiences;
Collegiate-level teaching experience;
Understanding of collegiate-level teaching, learning, course development and the appropriate uses of learning technologies as they apply to student success in various disciplines;
Experience in eLearning/online course design and development processes;
Experience in Learning Management System processes and operations;
Track record of motivating and working collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and other units across campus in the promotion of successful student learning;
Demonstrated administrative experience in areas such as strategic planning, budget management, personnel supervision, and program evaluation;
Evidence of excellent communication, interpersonal and consultative skills; independent judgment, and service- oriented attitude; and
Ability to effectively prioritize workload by managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
