The Public Transportation Group is looking for assistance with managing and analyzing industry data, including fixed route locations, operating statistics, vehicle inventories, and scheduling data.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
-Creating General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) data
-Analyzing GTFS data
-Schedule and route analysis using GIS
-Collecting and cleaning operating statistics using Microsoft Access
-Combining multiple datasets, such as NTD, Operating Statistics, GTFS, and vehicle inventories
-Using the data to conduct operational and service planning analyses for transit systemsOther Work/Responsibilities
Other research, writing, and data analysis as neededMinimum Experience/Education
Master degree in City Planning, Geography, or related fieldDepartmental Required Skills
- Skills using ArcGIS or other GIS software and the associated tools and packages
-Experience within the public transportation industry
-Strong skills with spreadsheets
-Experience using databases, preferably Microsoft Access
