Digital Media Consultants provide excellent customer service and assist patrons with specialized technology needs in the D.H. Hill and Hunt Library Digital Media Spaces. Students will staff the Digital Media Spaces, helping users with media creation and editing in the realms of audio, video, and graphic design. They consult about technologies in the spaces and in the tech lending program and help patrons with both general media education and with specific media project requirements. They will also be responsible for greeting visitors, answering questions, problem solving, providing introductions to the Digital Media Spaces, and keeping the Media Spaces in good order. Students will also assist with technology consultations, developing and teaching workshops, and exploring new technologies.Other Work/Responsibilities Minimum Experience/Education
Must be currently enrolled college student.Departmental Required Skills
Interest or experience in any of the following skills: Audio/music production, graphic design, photography, video editing, and web development. Should be comfortable with technology and have basic to advanced customer service experience. Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks.Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Experience in consulting, teaching, or tutoring is desirable.Required License or Certification
