This is a part-time, partially benefited, 10-month hourly position, working approximately 20-29 hours per week, no more than 1,300 hours in a 10 month period. Months worked will be August – May. The University of West Georgia Athletic-Coaching Assistant will report to the Football Head Coach. Position responsibilities include the everyday operation of a football coach. This includes game week preparation, scouting opponents, opponent personnel evaluations, opponent schemes, tendencies and game planning. On and Off campus recruiting, evaluations of prospective student athletes both academically and athletically. Monitoring academics of student athletes.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. One to two years of previous coaching or playing experience. Advanced knowledge of football and the skills needed by student-athletes to be a successful football player. Teaching skills and ability. Must be able to recruit and coach a position group. Experience or ability to assist Head Coach with fundraising. Knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules and ability to pass the recruiting certification test.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Master’s degree. Three years of collegiate coaching experience.Salary $13.28 minimum - $15.93 midpoint (Hourly) Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Candidates must be physically able to teach/instruct student athletes and perform other physical activities in hot and cold temperatures. The position requires working early mornings, nights and weekends. Must be able to travel for recruitment and off-campus games, including out of state.Does this position require any special certification/ license? If yes, please specify.
