The Senior Financial Aid Advisor will be directly involved in working with one or more higher level financial aid processing areas, including but not limited to Professional Judgment requests, Financial Literacy programs, Student Loan Default/Delinquency Prevention, Satisfactory Academic Progress, Transfer Monitoring, Campus Outreach, and Compliance/Audit. The Senior Financial Aid Advisor will also serve as a financial aid advisor to a sub-population of students, which requires a broad knowledge of all financial aid programs in order to assist students with escalated questions that are referred by the UWG Call Center or Enrollment Services Center. This position will also present financial aid topical sessions to campus constituencies, including current UWG students and faculty/staff, prospective students at Admissions Office recruiting events, and high school visits as requested.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. 3-5 years of experience in a college enrollment management office or 2 years of experience in a college financial aid office. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail a must. Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Excel and other quantitative analysis programs preferred. Customer service skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree preferred.

NASFAA Financial Aid Credentials – 2 minimum credentials are preferred.

Salary $19.18 minimum - $25.07 midpoint Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position requires an individual to work within an office setting with occasional meetings and presentations in other campus locations as well as off-campus locations. Must be able to travel to off-campus meetings. Occasional work outside of normal scheduled hours is necessary. Must be able to occasionally lift heavy boxes and packages, as needed.
