Assist Journey Electrician with tasks related to maintenance, replacement, or installation of electrical systems and equipment. Operate and maintain advanced microprocessor based fire alarm systems, specifically: Grinnell/Auto Call; Siemens/Pyrotronics; and Notifier equipment. Install and maintain alarms, CCTV, card access systems, digital surveillance cameras and digital recorders. Perform mandatory maintenance and testing of equipment and maintain documentation. Identify malfunctions or problems and report to Journey Electrician, Lead Electrician, Supervisor and/or Electrical Systems Manager. Perform routine, semi-skilled and/or unskilled repairs or replacement of electrical fixtures or equipment. Replace fluorescent tubes, ballasts and lenses. Perform other related duties such as: operating and maintaining a variety of power or hand tools; transporting materials and personnel to and from job site; cleaning up job site and returning equipment; and following all safety procedures. Provide direction to Facilities Workers and/or unskilled workers. Required 2) Working knowledge of various power and hand tools, equipment and materials of the electrical trade. Required 3) Ability to work as part of a team through close collaboration with colleagues and coordinate with other trades. Required 4) Skill in reading standard English text in order to follow through on written orders and carry out assignments. Required 5) Oral communication skills to obtain or convey clear, concise and grammatically correct information.
