Job Summary Requisition Number: 29135 Job Title: ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST, SENIOR Working Title: Safety Coordinator Salary: $4,842 - $9,591 monthly Job Type: Contract Department Name: 3400-FACILITIES ADMINISTRATION Department Website URL: https://www.facilities.ucla.edu/ Job Summary Statement: Under the direction of the Facilities Management (FM) Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC), the Safety Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing safety training programs designed to reduce campus injury and accidents, specifically focused in FM. The incumbent will facilitate classroom training, safety meetings, prepare and present progress reports as required. Percentage of Time: 100 Shift Start: 7:00 am Shift End: 4:00 pm function checkForSelectedStatus(){ return true;} Qualifications for Position 16 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, administrators, managers, subordinates, and academia. Required Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the importance of the job responsibilities. Required Knowledge of principles of occupational safety and health gained from a college level educational background or equivalent work experience. Required Skill in working independently and following through on assignments. Required Working knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety codes to access, and provide accurate information to the campus community. Required Ability to make oral group presentations to persuade others to accept a specific action or opinion and to provide information to explain procedures, polices, etc. Required Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports. Required Ability to use a personal computer and related business software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc. Required Ability to analyze complex technical data and make recommendations based on the data. Required Detailed knowledge of Cal/OSHA, EPA, AQMD and other applicable state and federal codes and ability to interpret the meaning to the campus community. Required Master's degree in related field or combination of education and work experience. Preferred Ability to provide safety programs to employees working day, evening, swing or night shifts. Required Ability to serve as a member university task forces and committees as assigned. Required Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, administrators, managers, subordinates, and academia. Required Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the importance of the job responsibilities. Required Valid California Driver License required. Incumbent will be required to drive to various locations on campus.
