The Family Medicine Residency program at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine provides the best academic resources a university hospital has to offer, but in the close community setting of Greenville, North Carolina.

Located in the coastal plains of eastern North Carolina, our medical school was established out of a need to provide primary care physicians to the region. Our diverse, well-rounded group of residents benefit tremendously from the school’s commitment to primary care and work in a supportive, friendly learning environment.

Job Duties

Fixed-term or tenure track faculty position at the rank/title of Clinical Assistant Professor or higher. The selected candidate will also serve as an Assistant Residency Director.

This position is responsible for supervising and teaching the 8-12 residents assigned to one of the four Family Medicine Center (FMC) modules.

Strong emphasis on teaching and patient care in both the ambulatory and inpatient setting, with opportunities to develop administrative and scholarship skills.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Minimum Education/Experience

MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution required.

Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine required.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

N/A

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

Clinical practice experience with OB skills preferred.
