UCLA DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY AND LABORATORY MEDICINE, JONSSON COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER, AND INSTITUTE OF PRECISION MEDICINE

Applicants are invited to apply for a faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the UCLA Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Institute of Precision Medicine.

The UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) and UCLA Health is seeking a physician-investigator to direct its clinical and academic enterprise in clinical molecular diagnostics. Based in the Clinical Genomics and Molecular Pathology Center, the Director will formulate and implement strategy with the academic and clinical leadership of the Department, the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Institute of Precision Medicine. The applicant must have a M.D. or Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent; Additionally, applicants should possess post-graduate clinical training in anatomic, clinical pathology, and/or molecular genetic pathology; leadership experience in a clinical molecular pathology/genomics diagnostic lab; and, a strong record of translational cancer research and clinical innovation in cancer clinical genomics and/or molecular diagnostics. American Board of Pathology certification is required at time of appointment and the appointee will need to have or qualify for California medical licensure. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
