The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at William & Mary invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position that will begin August 10, 2019. We are looking for professional, skilled language instructors with experience and competence in teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and at least one dialect in a communicative, proficiency based manner from elementary to intermediate levels. Applicants should have native or near native fluency in MSA, one dialect and English. An MA or higher in Arabic language or literature is required, in addition to a successful proficiency-based teaching record. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a 3-3 teaching load.Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Arabic language, literature or culture is required, in addition to a successful proficiency-based teaching record.Preferred Qualifications
