The Department of Physics at William & Mary invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer position that will begin August 10, 2019. We seek an individual with expertise in engineering physics, electronics, or instrumentation. The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective teacher, to teach undergraduate electronics and instrumentation courses for physics majors, and to provide support and technical expertise for the new Engineering Physics and Applied Design track for undergraduate physics majors, including capstone engineering design projects. This is a three-year appointment, eligible for renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Required Qualifications

ABD status in Physics, Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment (August 10, 2019).

Preferred Qualifications

A PhD is preferred by the time appointment begins. Experience in one or more of the topics of: modern electronics and instrumentation, engineering physics, and project management is preferred.
